ARCH congratulates Industry Members, Kinesis Health Technologies, on winning a ‘Start Up of the Year’ Award last night at the Dat Sci Awards 2016.

With the global economy becoming more and more data influenced, and data-driven thinking being extended into every facet of life, Ireland is being primed to capture a large slice of this market, with our wealth of homegrown talent in data science. To recognise this emerging talent in Ireland and the potential for Ireland to become the European Data Science Hub, the DatSci Awards recognises and celebrates innovation and innovators in the expanding area of Data Science.

Kinesis Health Technologies was founded in 2013 by Seamus Small and Dr Barry Greene as a spin-out from University College Dublin (UCD) and is headquartered at NexusUCD, the University’s Industry Partnership Centre. Kinesis Health Technologies is a medical device company that develops technologies for falls prevention, gait assessment and rehabilitation monitoring.

This award comes soon after Kinesis was profiled as one of the top 100 start-ups with significant potential by the Sunday Business Post. A company on the up, they are certainly ones to watch.

The ARCH team are looking forward to collaborating with Kinesis Health Technologies on connected health research projects in the foreseeable future!
