Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Ethnographer within the Applied Research for Connected Health (ARCH) Technology Centre.  This Research Assistant/UCD Post Doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 position is available within the Care research pillar of ARCH. The Ethnographer will work within a multidisciplinary team and will be primarily responsible for undertaking ethnographic based research across a plethora of healthcare contexts as well as health technology focused projects.

ARCH is based in UCD and is a collaboration between UCD and UL. ARCH conducts innovative and applied research to support the deployment, adoption and sustainability of Connected Health solutions. Connected Health involves the use of ICT to improve healthcare quality and outcomes and encompasses eHealth, digital health, health informatics, telemedicine, mHealth and home based care.

As the position is situated in a collaborative centre, the position entails conducting academic and applied health and social science research for industry and academic purposes as well as close collaboration with the Principal Investigator and other researchers of each research strand and with the industry consortium.
